CHICLAYO ROYAL TOMBS

PROGRAMME:

First Day:
Early departure to the city of Chiclayo, reception and transfer to the selected hotel.

We start our journey to the city of Lambayeque to visit the new and modern Museum of the SIPAN ROYAL TOMBS, which has 10 exhibition rooms where the theasures of Lord of Sipan and a big collection of gold, silver and copper objects can be admired.

Later we appreciate the Church of San Fancisco, whose 64 metre long balcony is said to be the longest in the colonial Americas (The house of La Logia), we visit the Main Square and we pay a visit to the confectioners' of the city.

Second Day :
Continental breakfast. In the morning we go to the archaeological site of HUACA RAJADA 33 Kms south of Chiclayo and 2 kms from the village of Sipan, where you could find the pyramid Terraza and Tombs of Royal Characters and priests of the religious elit (Moche 200 to 700 A.C). Its ornaments and the high level of the technical goldsmith development make them consider as the most important discovery in this century. We visit the Museum of the site and excavations. You can wander around the previously excavated areas to get an idea of the construction of the burial mound and adjacent pyramids
At convenient time transfer to the airport.
