WILD CANDAMO

Special program for investigators and men of science (7 Days – 6 Nights)

DAY 01. PUERTO MALDONADO / WASAI LODGE
Arrival to Puerto Maldonado, CAPITAL OF the BIODIVERSITY Of the PERU, reception in the airport and transfer to the Port to take our boat that will take us by the Tambopata River, until arriving at the shelter Wasai Lodge, that is near Macaw Lick. After installing to us in the bungalow, we will initiate a long walk by the forest accompanied by a guide during one hour and average; in this long walk we will find great diversity of flora and fauna. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 02. WASAI LODGE/ CHUNCHO MACAW LICK / TÁVARA RIVER
After breakfast we will travel by one hour and average until to arrive at Chuncho Macaw Lick, where after locating to us strategically, we will be able to appreciate the arrival of parakeets, parrots and macaws to eat the clay of the cliff that is rich in mineral salts and, specially the calcium as complement to its feeding since this one clay serves to resist the effects of toxic substances that could ingest during their daily feeding. Soon we will continue trip until arriving at the Távara River where we will arm our camping. At night we will explore the river in looks for Caymans

DAY 03. TÁVARA RIVER / CANDAMO RIVER
After the breakfast we will continue by the Tavara River until arriving at the confluence of the Rivers Guacamayo and Candamo, continuing by the second. In the trip we will be able to appreciate the majesty wild forest; also we will be able to observe different species from flora and wild fauna. During the trip we will make activities of fishing and long walks.

DAY 04. CANDAMO
After the breakfast we will continue trip river arrives by the Candamo River, as of today we were in the heart of the majestic and enigmatic Candamo also called "the last forest without men", will travel exploring and admiring the landscape, the crystalline and fresh waters that arrive from high summits, colorful the primary forest, animal and bird in their natural state, similarly we will make long walks and fishes during the trip and caimaneo (observation of Caymans) during the night.

DAY 05. CANDAMO / COLORADO MACAW LICK
We will initiate the return and like the other days we will make fishing, long walks and caimaneo (observation of Caymans) and exploration, until arriving at the Colorado Macaw Lick (greatest of the world), we will encamp here.

DAY 06. COLORADO MACAW LICK / PUERTO MALDONADO
We will have the opportunity to enjoy observing the activity of macaw lick, appreciating to parakeets, parrots, and macaws of different species like the Ara Ararauna, Ara Scarlet, Ara Macaw, and Parrots of yellow head and without number of parrots. After the colorful spectacle we will have breakfast and initiate the return to Puerto Maldonado. Dinner and lodging in the Cabańa Quinta Hotel***

DAY 07. PUERTO MALDONADO / AIRPORT
Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
