MISTERIOUS JUNGLE
(4 days - 3 nights)
DAY 01 – PUERTO MALDONADO /LODGE / SANDOVAL LAKE
Arrive to the Puerto Maldonado city CAPITAL OF THE BIODIVERSITY
OF Perú.
Reception in the airport and transfer to the city. Then go to the
Port and take our boat that will drive us for the Madre de Dios
River, then we will travel path during a little more one hour to
lodge (Mejia Lodge) located close Sandoval Lake.
Reception and installation in the bungalows according to the
reservation. We will make a walk for the jungle with a guide, during
a little more than two hours. We will see a great diversity of flora
and fauna.
Return to the lodge, dinner and lodging.
DAY 02 –SANDOVAL LAKE
After breakfast, we will take our boat for begin a trip in the
Sandoval Lake, where you can appreciate the diversity of flora
finding orchid, platanillos, ungurahuis, aguaje palm. About the
fauna is possible to see great quantity of otter, ducks, alligator’s
family (black and white caimans) wild hens, taricayas (small turtles)
and variety of fish. It is possible to take a refreshing bath in the
lake without danger. Return to the lodge for lunch.
After the lunch we will visit again Sandoval Lake for to practice
fishing (piranhas). Return to lodge.
In the night is possible you will can appreciate caimans, and the
great diversity of wild life around the Sandoval Lake. Dinner and
lodging.
DAY 03 – MONKEYS ISLAND / FITZCARRALD SHIP
After breakfast, we will visit to monkeys Island where you will
appreciate different types of the monkeys (brown and white capuccin,
squirrel monkey, spider monkey ...), then to visit the Fitzcarrald
ship located in the middle of the jungle. Return to the city lodging
and dinner (Cabaña Quinta Hotel ***)
DAY 04 – PUERTO MALDONADO / AIRPORT
Breakfast and transfer from the hotel to airport.
