NATIVE JUNGLE
(4 days - 3 nights)
DAY 01. PUERTO MALDONADO / SANDOVAL LAKE
Arrival to Puerto Maldonado, CAPITAL OF the BIODIVERSITY Of the
PERU, Reception in the airport and transfer to the port to take our
boat that will take us by the River Madre de God until the entrance
of the Sandoval lake. From the border we will initiate a long walk
by the forest of approximately one hour and average, until arriving
at the shelter (Mejia Lodge) where we will encamp, after installing
to us we will take a canoe and we will initiate the stroll by the
lake, where we will be able to appreciate a great diversity of flora
and fauna, being found orchid, platanillos, wild hens, taricayas (small
turtles) and diversity of fish. It is possible to take a refreshing
bath without any danger, at night we will be able to visit the lake
again to observe Caymans and other species that inhabit the lake.
DAY 02. NATIVE COMMUNITY PALMA REAL / VALENCIA LAKE
After the breakfast we will down travel river by the Mother de Dios
observing diversity of flora and fauna, as well as Caymans resting
in the border of the river, until arriving at the Native Community
of Real Palm, we will be able to appreciate its customs and to know
more the culture Esse eja, and their experiences. We will always
continue trip by the Mother of God and soon we will enter a full
gorge of birds of different species, many of migratory them,
arriving soon at Lake Valencia, place where we will encamp, be able
to take a walk by the lake and at night to observe Caymans, equally
we will observe the life and customs of the inhabitants of the lake,
many of which they are dedicated to the fishing, artisan washing of
gold and the harvesting of chestnut (nut of Brazil) in the months of
January to March.
DAY 03. GAMITANA RIVER / MONKEYS ISLAND
After the breakfast we will return to visit the broken Briolo and or
Gamitana River, small River that brings its crystalline waters of
the Puno and that lodges in its route a great variety of species of
birds as well as the Gamitana fish that gives the name him to the
river. We continued soon travels to the Island of the monkeys where
we will make a brief visit and finally we will arrive at Puerto
Maldonado. Dinner and lodging (Cabaña Quinta Hotel ***)
DAY 04. PUERTO MALDONADO/AIRPORT
Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
