TEETH WHITENING

DENTAL IMPLANTS

However, today’s advances in dental implant, bone grafting, and rehabilitation technologies and materials have made replacing teeth with lifelike restorations more accessible than ever. Dental implants are titanium screws inserted into the jawbone to support individual or linked porcelain crowns or hybrid prostheses. They allow the patient not only to replace missing teeth, but also arrest bone loss and recover and/or maintain his or her facial profile.

ENDODONTICS ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Endodontics is a dental specialty dealing with tooth pulp and tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. Endodontics involves many procedures such as root canal therapy, treating cracked teeth and dental trauma. The signs of root canal problems are familiar: severe pain, swelling, sensitivity to hot or cold water or a darkening tooth. At our Lima and cusco dental clinic, you will be surprised how comfortable modern root canal therapy can be.
Each tooth is like a small organism. It has canals running through a pulp that provides nourishment to your teeth. Canals can become damaged either by a cavity or a tooth fracture, and the pulp may get infected and die. The procedure at our Lima dental and cusco clinic is simple: cleaning out the canals, filling them in and putting a custom crown atop.

TOOTH COLORED DENTAL FILLINGS
We use Tooth Colored Dental Fillings to repair and protect damaged teeth invisibly and to replace attractive metallic or amalgam fillings.
We use composites made of plastic resin and silica fillers to mimic the dentin inner part of the tooth. Unlike rigid metal fillings of the past, these materials mimic the natural components of the tooth and allow bite stress to pass through the tooth while receiving biting forces.
We use bonding materials to bond the filling to the tooth to create a strong and more comfortable filling. Because they are bonded onto the tooth, there is no need to cut away any healthy tooth at all. We also use dentin sealing to seal and protect the inner dentin surface of the tooth from bacteria and sensitivity.

FIXED ORTHODONTIC BRACES
Teeth straightening with fixed orthodontic braces
Fixed orthodontic braces are the traditional, most common form of orthodontic (teeth straightening) treatment. This type of teeth straightening system uses the brackets and wires that most people think of when they hear the word braces. But brackets nowadays, even metal ones, are smaller and less noticeable than in the past, and the brackets and wires can also come in clear or tooth colored ceramics making them virtually unnoticeable and these are commonly called aesthetic orthodontic brackets or braces. Fixed orthodontic braces offer a quick, effective and affordable option for teeth straightening. We also offer Clear Removable Aligners that straighten teeth effectively and are virtually unnoticeable.

WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL
Sometimes it is necessary to remove a wisdom tooth or wisdom teeth to resolve an actual problem or to prevent a problem from occurring in the future.
Problems often caused as wisdom teeth grow
• The jaw may not be large enough to accommodate the wisdom tooth and the tooth may become impacted being unable to erupt through the gum
• Impacted teeth can result in infections, damage to other teeth and bone, or cysts
• A wisdom tooth may not erupt fully through the gum and cause a flap of gum tissue to grow over the tooth. Food and germs can then get trapped underneath the flap and cause the gum to become infected and painful
• They can be difficult to clean being at the back of the mouth and this can result in poor oral hygiene, gum disease, tooth decay, bad breath and infections
• They can cause movement in the adjacent teeth which has a concertina effect and can cause crowding and misalignment of the front teeth
Although it is easier to remove wisdom teeth when the patient is in their late teens or early 20s, the wisdom tooth extraction procedure is a routine painless one at any age when carried out by an experienced Oral Surgeon.

TREATMENT FOR BRUXISM
Bruxism is a common condition in young children and adults that causes you to clench or grind your teeth (to brux). Often it is done unconsciously and the sufferer or "Bruxer" may not be aware that they have the condition.
Dental Treatments: Your dentist may recommend use of a mouthguard or splint to protect your teeth from the damage that can be caused by bruxism. The mouthguard or splint will prevent damage to your teeth but will not cure the bruxism. They are usually worn at nighttime during sleep and come custom made of acrylic and fit the upper or lower teeth. They will also help prevent damage to any restorations in the mouth such as veneers. Other dental treatments can include braces, or oral rehabilitation and surgery.

DENTAL CROWNS
Dental crowns are used with dental implants to replace a missing tooth or on their own to restore a severely worn down or broken one. They can be used for necessity or cosmetic reasons.
Crowns are used in dentistry for necessity and for aesthetic reasons. They can restore lost function of the teeth and can replicate the appearance of the original tooth or improve on its appearance. If you choose crowns made of the right material, such as our crowns made of Zirconia, porcelain, ivocrom they can last you a life time.

DENTURES
Dentures are an economical way of replacing missing teeth, and with advancements in technology and design, they can now look even more like natural teeth and gums, making it virtually impossible to distinguish between them.
1.- Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are removable and replace groups of teeth or a number of teeth distributed around the lower or upper jaw. This type of denture includes prosthetic (or false) teeth and gum. It is attached to the natural teeth that remain and also blends into the gum. There are many different kinds of partial dentures, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.

2.- Complete or Full Dentures
Full dentures are used to replace all the upper or lower teeth, and sometimes both. They are also made of prosthetic (or false) teeth and gum and sit on the gums. They are removable and temporary adhesives can be used to keep them securely fitted.
