Uros floating islands

The tour to the Uros is the shortest option (1/2 day) "but the most attractive" to visit the Floating Islands of the Uros, where you will learn about the Uros life and understand the activities they perform in order to survive. This tour is for people interested in learning and experiencing this ancestral culture.

PROGRAM:
The tour begins with the transfer of the Hotel (Central) to the Port of Puno to board the boat bound for the Floating Islands of the Uros, which is located 7 km from the city of Puno, with a duration of 25 to 30 min approx. by motor boat We will visit 02 of more than 90 islands, where we will know their way of life, history, customs, main activities such as handicrafts, artisanal fishing and tourism.We will have the opportunity to share new experiences with families approx. two hours, where the guide will explain in detail about the construction of the Uros Floating Islands, made of totora, then the native family will invite us to take an additional walk in their typical totora boats, the tour lasts approximately 20 min . (Optional), with direction to the capital island where we will find restaurants, shops, snack, trout farms and a variety of local handicrafts, after this fantastic tour to Uros we will be returning to the City of Puno and finally to the hotel.
